INFORMATION

We have brought you to this page for the instructions on how to use the tree location page on the site. Before you click on the link at the bottom please have a look at how this works.

The first thing that you will see after clicking on the link will be a screen that has two drop down boxes.  Section  and  Type    They will both be set to ALL but you cannot submit a search set that way.  You will have to select something other than ALL in the Section or Type box before clicking on the submit button.

Depending on the browser you are using, or how you have your browser configured, will make changes in how this works.  If you click on the picture it will enlarge.  It  may open on a new page/tab or just change your present screen. To move back close the new page/tab or click the browser's back buttonThis new page/tab vs. back button is a constant depending on the browser and the settings.  Keep that in mind on how things will work for the other features.

When you have started a search you will see next to the thumbnail picture there is the tree number and next to that is the word Locate.  That word, Locate, is a link.  Clicking on it will take you to a map that you can enlarge, if you want,  that will have a "balloon" which shows the location of the tree.  The tree type itself is also a link, ie: WHITE OAK and that will open, in most cases, a Wikipedia  page with information about the tree type.

This is still very much a work in progress and there is much more to come.  Stay tuned!
